GOOD SWEET MELITELE
I’m so sorry ( ;´Д`)
I can’t play Witcher 1, but I can play Witcher 2. I just need some backstory on whats been going on with the world.
- Has the human vs nonhuman thing been a new development?
- The Rivia rebellion thing where Geralt dies made it seem like that was the first problem between them and that nonhuman were just the minorities.
- How old is Geralt?
- Do we know how Witchers are made or we just going with orphans who were experimented on then ‘ploughed’ by mages?
- When/circumstances with the whip scars on Geralt’s back?
I’d love anyone who can atleast tell me some stuff - if I find out in Witcher 1 (and its a reasonably major aspect) don’t tell me, even if I’ll get spoiled in Witcher 2 anyway.
Any other relevant info would be awesome too.
As soon as I can knick a mouse, I’ll play Witcher 1.
Hey man, Dawner’s here, heh. Remember that we’ll always be here to help ya out in your witchering adventures :D and if you need anythin’, just holler~
Also, you should check out from time to time the official Witcher forums since they contain some really neat interesting lore-related threads. That and there’s always the wikia c:
Huzzah.
Check out the new theme and tags and let me know if everything’s alright.
I’m going to pass out now…
Toodles.

Maybe trying to make a page containing portraits and a little bit of info for the majority of all of the TW characters is quite a bad idea
Hello, long time no see.
I am sorry for the inactivity but I will try my best to be more often around here
Also, I am considering changing the blog’s theme and I am going to use Dethmold as our new mascot instead of Iorveth.
You can’t stop me.
Thank you so much!

from PCGames via thewitcher/forum (thanks to wojto16)
Here’s new information translated for your convenience:- 36 final states of the world and 3 epilogues (each 1 hour long)
- you can import your save game, but it’s not going to change the backstory of the game. Still, it will affect characters.
- you can buy horses or tame a wild ones by using Axii
- Geralt will be much more agile. Now he can jump and climb wherever he want.
- wild animals will appear. Geralt may hunt them and take their furs, claws etc.
- main storyline is 50 hours long
- now people will call the guards, when they see Geralt stealing their stuff
- there is a new mechanic, which is similar to VATS from Fallout 3. You can aim at the specific parts of monsters bodies in slow-mo
- no more QTE
- Geralt now can achieve 60 level max
- PC and console versions have completely different UI
- you gain experience points only by completing quests, hunting will provide you money and crafting materials
- a two new minigames: axe trowing and card games
- economy depends from the area. In some places you can buy something for a lesser price, or sell it for higher price.
Severely concerned regarding the second one. If they really do what they did to Shani in TW 2 then I’m going to be really mad.
REALLY MAD.

I reblogged a TW 3 concept art(the one with geralt and another character on horseback) and tagged it with Triss.
But is it really her? The character has sorta like long blonde hair hmmm…

Hi guys,
As it happens, all things must come to an end. And every end has a new beginning. This is to say - I no longer have the time to run this blog, so I’m transferring ownership to the two awesome people who have been making noise and spreading Witcher love since the early days of our tumbling; they are thedawner and throughthegiftshop. I have faith that they will continue to run Wishroom the way it’s always been, and make necessary improvements to make it even better.
Me, I am not going too far away. You can still contact me at my personal tumblr or twitter, and I’ll continue to moderate the official Witcher forums. It’s just that a blog like this requires a lot of time, and I cannot give it enough attention at the moment. I feel that is not fair to anyone involved, thus changes happen.
Know that I love you all - it’s been a wonderful nine months! The fandom never ceased to amaze me, you are one sassy, witty, intelligent bunch. Never change. To the couple of you that I owe a reply, I’ll get back to you, don’t worry! The message box is clean so the new owners can make a fresh start.
Thank you for sticking around for so long, and see you on the flipside ♥

That Disney medallion…
That’s not Disney. That’s a wolf from Russian cartoon series Ну, погоди!
Oh dear.
I’m always amused by cultural collisions like that ^______^ Because for me it’s like omg CHILDHOOD and hilarious reference, and it’s really interesting to see reaction of people who do not have the same background.
Indeed. To be honest, my first thought was Vučko, mascot of 1984 Winter Olympics in Sarajevo, (former) Yugoslavia (now Bosnia). But then I figured it can’t be it, so I went with Disney because I used to have a Kinder Surprise figurine of a young wolf character that was definitely Disney. But I don’t know his name in English.
Wow, that turned out to be a bit more complex than I thought :x
Eastern Europe all over this place.
i am so sorry for all of you playing the witcher 2 and not knowing polish language cause the original dialogues are so fucking epic …but not translatable
jesus, i love my culture.
Ughhh, don’t kick it where it hurts :( I want The Witcher games in my language (Serbian) so fucking bad because it’d be perfect, especially because the languages are similar enough. The books are already awesome and you’re right, it’s very, very hard to translate into English. All of them delicious swear words…
So for a while I’ve been having this problem of notes not displaying correctly on tumblr.com/blog/blogname page. I usually see a couple of “likes” and that’s it. I used to keep track of discussions through there - you know, when it says “so-and-so reblogged this and said…” Now those reblogs don’t show at all, and if they miraculously do, it doesn’t say whether the user added a comment or not.
Is this a bug or is tumblr still trying hard to make this place as anti-social as possible? :S
